I just wanted to send a note along to compliment the crew that came out last sunday ... Tim Jim and Steve helped us pack and move a number of itmems in our house and storage unit. It didnt matter what request we had, they were happy to do whatever they could to make it happen.
They manintained a great attitude and both my wife and I thoroughtly enjoyed working with them for the day. They put in a solid effort and lcearly their expertise was obious from the results. Once we have sold our house and need to make arrangements to move ou the last of our furniture I hope that this team will be available to support us again

I wanted to provide you some personal feedback with my experience with your company - Good 'Ol Boy's moving. I was very satisfied with your services and this is the reason why I wanted to provide you some positive feedback!
I needed to find a mover back in August to move in September. Of course, moving is always a stressful time and I was quite overwhelmed. A friend of mine who used your services recommended you to me. I called and spoke to Suzy on the phone who provided me the information I was hoping for: Cost, down payment, security and information on insurance. I was a little nervous because I have never used a mover before and I had some new furniture and also antiques that I was moving. So, the care of moving everything was very important to me. She understood my concern and offered your e-mail address so I could provide a summary of what I expected to move.
Additionally, not everything was moving in the place I was moving from. So, it was very important the movers understood what was staying versus leaving. I had spoken with Gwen several times on the phone and by e-mail to voice any of my required and updated needs. She always responded in a timely manner with the exact information I had asked for. There was an instance when she was not available and I believe one of the owners responded to me personally on her behalf.
I felt well taken care of and very comforted that my move would go smoothly. And indeed it did.
My move was scheduled just after the Labor Day weekend at 9 AM. I was moving between towns with approximately 50 KM distance. The movers arrived promptly and I informed them what was moving from my house. They clearly assessed what was to be moved and what they needed in regards to packing materials. My move was completed in very good time. All of my furniture that I was concerned about was wrapped securely in moving blankets. Additionally, I noticed that everything was tied down so there was no risk that any of my furniture would slide or bump into each other.
The move to my final destination went just as smoothly and the movers took care of putting everything in their new place.
Everything was done within the estimated time and budget. Nothing was damaged - including furniture or walls/floor from the move in either place.
The move I just completed is only temporary and I have no doubt that I will be calling on Good Ol Boys again next year when the time comes up again.

Hello Gwen and Sarah - I wanted to be sure to give you all a HUGE thank you for arranging my move yesterday - what a positive experience this all has been.
The guys (John Sang and Fred ) were amazing - incredibly hard working, friendly and patient, they showed up on time and worked their asses off. The guys were organized and efficient, and never once let me think what a pain in the butt moving from one 2nd floor walk-up to another 2nd floor walk-up is ... and they treated my never-ending pile of boxes with the same respect shown to fine furniture - I didn't expect such kindness, but there it was from start to end!
Moving is supposed to be very stressful, but I can not say enough good things about my experience with you all ... it's a wonderful way to start a new life in a new home and I appreciate all the effort and kindness that has been shown to me.

The move was excellent on the 24th. Your staff were professional, and did a great job. They worked really hard in the cold weather, and I was extemely happy with the job they did.
In mid-May we hired Good Ol Boys to move a small load of furniture and personal effects from Kitchener to the Washington DC area, where we had rented an apartment as the first phase of an important transition for us. My wife was to commence a new job there, and would commute frequently back to Kitchener for two months until the sale of our house closed towards the end of July, at which point I would join her along with the rest of our household, while commuting to my job for a few more months prior to retiring.
The loading and transit of our effects went very smoothly, thanks to Tom and Nick, who were professional, courteous, and--even more important--skilled and careful. The unloading at the other end went equally well: we were very happy with the job Good Â'Ol Boys did, and their price was fair.
But our plan took an unexpected and inauspicious turn. The apartment we rented in Maryland turned out to be located in an unsafe, high crime area, and it became immediately apparent Rosemary would not be safe living on her own there. Moreover it was a dump, sadly in need of major rehabilitation, not at all comparable to the model she had been shown, nor consistent with the glitzy leasing office. To find an apartment in a safe area would mean a much greater commuting distance, time, and rental cost. We might have persevered, had RosemaryÂ's new job been attractive, but the working conditions turned out to be oppressive--until her security clearance arrived (in mid-October at earliest) she would essentially be locked in a government building for 8 and ½ hours each day, to be ushered in and out by a government employee with clearance.
So, after much deliberation throughout our third evening there, we decided to cut our losses and come back to Kitchener to regroup and sort things out. Our first call on day 4 was to Good Ol Boys to see whether and how quickly they could send down a crew and truck to haul us back a gain. To our great relief, Lee said he would have them in Maryland first thing Friday morning, which gave us three days to undo things. We obtained a release from the apartment but couldn't stop the sale of our house in Kitchener, which meant we had to quickly find a new home when we returned. So as the week wore on we found ourselves feeling pretty discouraged.
But Good Ol Boys arrived first thing Friday morning in the form of Marshall and Ken, who were absolutely terrific! Not only did they do a super job of loading--skilled, careful, and fast--they were so cheerful and helpful we found our spirits rising despite ourselves. The trip home and border crossing back to Canada went off without a hitch, and after a good nightÂ's sleep we greeted Marshall and Ken the next morning as they arrived to unload our things.
Throughout that eventful week, Good Ol Boys, in the form of Lee the Manager, was helpful, attentive, and efficient. It was clear to us that Lee really did care about our plight, and it was more than Â"just another job to get us safely back to Canada again. And the costs? Well, it wasnt cheap, but the charges were reasonable and fair, and the service was super!
We are now packing for a move to a new home in Ancaster--the whole household this time, without need for second thoughts--and Good Â'Ol Boys will be the movers. Moves are stressful, and we aren't looking forward to this one (although we look forward to being settled in the new house), but at least we aren't wondering whether we chose the right moving company, or whether they will show up as promised, and what sort of job they do. We recommend them without reservation!
